Art for Life is a unique visual art event and auction featuring over 350 contemporary works of art by many well-known and established Portland artists. The entries were curated by Peter Selz, Art in America editor, and Sue Taylor, Professor of Art History at Portland State University. The proceeds will be donated to the Cascade Aids Project (CAP), which educates at-risk youth and adults. CAP also provides support services and housing to families with HIV.
This years event includes both a live and silent auction of artworks, entertainment and an exotic collection of food from over 30 top-rated Portland restaurants. The theme is A Paris Museum. Guests attending the Patron Event dinner will be treated to a private viewing of Chris Rauschenbergs photo treatment of Eugene Atgets Paris imagery. Contact the CAP office at 503-223-9255, for tickets and information about this event.
