Our Songs, Our Roots (Music in St. Albert). Music is perhaps the deepest form of human communication, affecting us spiritually, culturally and socially. This exhibition looks back at the role of music in the St. Albert region and explores the many ways it has influenced and enhanced life in the community.

Opening Jan 25
The Ones We Met–Inuit Traditional Knowledge and The Franklin Expedition. A travelling exhibition developed by The Canadian Museum of History, in collaboration with the Inuit Heritage Trust. In 1845 Sir John Franklin’s tragic final expedition left Britain to chart the Northwest Passage through the Arctic. The expedition’s two ships and 129 men never returned. Much of what we know about this stems from Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (Inuit traditional knowledge). This exhibit explores the continued importance of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit.
