Come to the top of the hill in La Conner for a spectacular view of local history at the Skagit County Historical Museum. You’ll tour three outstanding galleries of fascinating Skagit history–from the Native Americans of the area through the early industry and home life of the pioneers as well as a changing featured exhibit. Enjoy our viewing deck and our delightful, affordable Museum Store. Spacious parking lot.

Hugo Helmer: Skagit’s Own Music Man. Hugo instructed hundreds of children throughout the region, established Hugo Helmer’s Accordion Band in the 1930s, dance band and first marching accordion band in the U.S! This project received funding from Skagit County. visitskagitvalley.com.
